Lighting up the Holidays! I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Parade & Tree Lighting

City of Johnstown, Johnstown Ohio Chamber of Commerce, M&N Lighting, and AEP will be lighting up the holidays for Johnstown, Ohio

 Johnstown Mayor Donny Barnard and the Johnstown Chamber of Commerce announced a new partnership with AEP to light up Johnstown for the upcoming holidays.

 AEP, M&N Lighting (Company), and the Johnstown Chamber of Commerce will be providing funding to Light Up the Square for the entire holiday season. “We’ve made it a priority to showcase Johnstown to major corporations and forge partnerships that benefit our community,” said Mayor Barnard. “We are looking forward to a great celebration that brings the whole community together in our beautiful town square.”

 “We are proud to support the holiday light display for the City of Johnstown,” said Marc Reitter- President, and Chief Operating Officer at AEP Ohio. “We understand the importance of -- and are committed to-- giving back and partnering with the communities where we live and work.”

 The Johnstown Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “I’ll be Home for Christmas” event and Tree Lighting Ceremony following the Johnstown Children’s Conservation League’s (CCL) Santa Parade on December 2, 2023. 

 “We are very excited to be partnering with AEP Ohio, the Johnstown CCL, M&N Lighting, and the City of Johnstown to bring the community another festive holiday season,” said Chamber President Jesse Coppel. “We plan to expand the lighting features and create something extra special this year,” added Coppel. “This amazing night of events demonstrates what is possible when city leadership, the local business community, and local philanthropic partners work together.” 

The parade will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by activities in the uptown business district and town square, performances in the Historic Johnstown Opera House.  The evening will conclude with a special Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Town Square featuring over 7,500 lights. The event will include a variety of free activities, crafts, and refreshments provided by our local business community.
